I've got a few stories to tell.
I've got a few rhythms and rhymes
Maybe I could sing one for you right now
or maybe some other time.

I've been to high school and I've been to war,
I've picked up a thing or two.
Maybe I'm just an insufferable bore
with nothing to say to you.
