sometimes comedy is more than a guy being funny; Lenny Bruce, Richard Pryor, Jackie Mason, Dick Gregory, Bill Hicks, Chris Rock. George Carlin was that kind of comic. Side splittingly funny and poignant at the same time. He was the Lenny Bruce of his day, high praise indeed. of course he denied all that, said he was "lucky".
