Robert Michael "Bobby" Hocutt
May 27, 1951 - July, 23 2006

I just heard last night that Bobby had died.
He was 55.

Sadlacks is never going to be the same.
Bobby was punk rock before it had a name.

Bobby sold me a JVC dual cassette deck on credit
at a time when I was a credit risk. I still have it.

rest well, Mr. Hocutt.

i just found bobby's tribute. i was unaware he had died.we worked together at lafayette electronics in crabtree valley mall.i met him in 1976 at an audio store. he was a salesman there(wizard's or something like that). we talked about rory gallagher and hit it off right from the start.weagreed rory had never sold out , and the same goes for bobby. he turned me on to 3 man army (butter queen). we jammed on that tune about 2 years later with a guitar player friend of mine named dillon forbes. i've told my son about bobby, and how he never compromised his views. he made a cassette tape for me christmas 1978, called christmas is for nerds. he narrated it and called people on the phone and talked about me and how we were great friends who argued for the fun of it. damn bobby i miss ya bro. he and i were the philly cheese dog twins at the PR( player's retreat on oberlin rd. we played pinball every night until they shut down, and were impressed that yARdbiRds "shapes of things" and "i'm a man" were on the juke box. ron email me and we'll talk about old times, billy the brat
