wait for me

wait for me in the rain
I'll come and never go
pray you don't wait in vain
cross my heart to show.

wait for me in the sun
'n when the wild winds blow
rain remembers everyone
through winter's ice and snow.

Lady sit with folded arms
her shining knight is late
I promised to keep her heart
she only had to wait.

sadness blushes on her face
makes the angels cry
death rides her lover's train
sometimes the hero has to die.

trans-neptunian object? rock?

I am appalled at the shabby way the God of the Underworld is being treated by scientists. In my mind and in my heart Pluto will ALWAYS be the ninth PLANET.

an arty fact from days gone by...

Butchwax played here several times. I guess the highlight was opening for the Professionals. I still wish we had played the Lightning Raider's "Psychedelic Musik" but we wimped out.

The Korps - Hello World (Gulcher 427)

Here we go, Kenne and Ken's big adventure. You've heard tell of that there sophomoric songwriting and your dry humping testosterone fueled pseudo intelligent six-string gun slinging? Well, padnah, gussy on up to this fecal matter. These guys are FRESHMEN. They ain't EVEN real sophomores yet, barely shaving and oh my dog, the wonderfullness. It's all here, everything you need.

You can throw away the chord book, put the Thesaurus back on the shelf, you won't be needin' any of those intellectual bull chippies. You won't need nothin' but your two-tone dancin' shoes. No, I am NOT talking about Janet Jackson, I'm talking about a flatlander college kid with a 220 solid copper conductor running up his bung with the juice applied. Nothing fancy, just bare live wires.

If you're wanting to get a little fried brains with your eggs like they used to do it at the old Truck Stop up on highway number one get yourself a slice of this. Stick this retro rock 'n' roll masterwork in your oh so cool iPod. Alright, let's give it to 'em right now. Go to E, then to D, back to A.

Fearle$$ Leader - God Bless the Devil(Gulcher 428)

The hilariously ironic title is the best thing about this release. The first five tracks are ridiculously dumb Thorazine thuds and Satanic Soper stomps, brainless Ricky retardo riffing. All hail the dark lords of white sale, mediocre, cut-out bin, one-dimensional m-m-m-metal. Maybe the metal heads will get this. I'm sorry, I don't.

These guys apparently elected, by misguided personal choice, to be these horrid Kiss gone kinky make-up smeared, drunken hell clowns in need of a sugar fix. The CD is dedicated to Saverio Goffredo, who co-wrote and sings "Doin' Donuts". Fearle$$ Leader and all of their many friends probably think this is pretty funny stuff. Maybe I just don't get the joke, see the humor, or recognize the redeeming social value.

The second five is the "punk rock" side of the band and is much improved over the stoned out devil worship of the metal side. Set deaux is still pretty dire and derivative card carrying, club member punky punk punk. There's really nothing that won't whistle right through your head without so much as a brief pause. "Toxic Crotch", "Move a Little" and "She's Got Cancer" would've made a nice little EP, maybe throw in "Doin' Donuts".

These guys are the kind of band that would make you drink too much beer, think too little, hoot, holler and raise way too much hell. Based on the sleeve pictures, they must have also been quite a sight to see live too, but, alas, they are no more. Recorded in 1997, this is their second full length release following 1992's "ยก#$;!" (Hell Yeah Records) aka the "Graveyard Rot" movie soundtrack. You figure it out.

"With pictures and words
Is this communicating?
The sounds that I've heard
The growling voice then fading
And yes my heart was beating
Or was it just repeating

With nickels and dimes
You soon will have a dollar
Am I in your time
I see no need to swallow
Or catch a plane to travel
My mind's not made of gravel

Can you find your way
Or do you want my vision
It's dark there, they say
But that's just superstition
And in my last inspection
Is this the right direction

I once had a girl
She told me I was funny
She said in your world
You needed lots of money
And things to kill your brother
But death just starts another"

but, there will never be another like you.
